Weekly Update: Salt & VictorOps Packs

April 24, 2015

COMMUNITY

We merged some awesome new packs to our main community repo, StackStorm Exchange, and continued making changes to others:

  • Salt: Run salt actions via StackStorm! Now StackStorm workflows can be spun up around Salt actions and mixed with actions from other packs for all your infrastructure needs. Looking forward to what the community spins around this integration! Shoutout to jcockhren and SophicWare for this awesome contribution.
  • VictorOps: Launch incident, acknowledge incidents and recover from incidents in VictorOps. Next up, spin up some Event Driven Automation magic to automatically tackle incidents.
  • WebPageTest: Test domains using WebPageTest.org services. Credit to Linuturk on this one.
  • Linux: New iostat action to see the I/O stats of system storage.

Lots of changes are appearing in st2incubator in preparation for an upcoming release.

PLATFORM

We’d made some nice progress with the platform as we churn out bug fixes and bring in some new features. Look out for an upcoming release in the next week where we will talk more about these changes.

See our repo to get clued into what is in the works.
